The small town of Ellensburg has a long history of musical talent; within that history is one group that has been performing for its loyal clan for the better part of a decade. Open Country Joy, or OCJ, as the locals call them is a band that embodies the music, artistic culture, and history of Central Washington.
From its origins in a cabin in the woods OCJ has carved a path of musical intrigue that has brought sweet melodies, riffs, and jams to Central Washington for all to enjoy. The sounds that come from the stage today are to quote Bob Marley, a little, "Blues, Rock, Reggae," with a little country thrown in to, "Stir it up," which gives OCJ its completely unique and original sound they have titled, Country Funk.
